Looking Back at 2022, YCC Launched the Mainnet

For the Yuanchain (YCC), the mainnet launch in 2022 is the rebirth of YCC. 2022 is an essential year for blockchain, and there are two keywords: elimination and survival. Let’s take a look at YCC’s technological developments in 2022.

1. Technical Reviews

Technological innovation requires constant perseverance. After much testing and improvement, YCC finally launched the mainnet in 2022, realizing consensus improvements and custody mining, which leads to a decentralized blockchain network with high concurrency.

Custody Mining: Previously, one user could only entrust one miner, but it has been improved so that one user can delegate multiple miners, and several users can entrust one miner. With the addition of entrusted mining fee settlement, YCC custody mining allows users to conduct custody mining and mining cancellation flexibly.

Consensus Improvement: During testing, some miners produce blocks slowly when the network is in poor condition, resulting in a timeout for the entire network. YCC’s block generation cycle is 1 second and it adjusted the block generation strategy. YCC tested the network speed of candidate miners before block generation and incorporated the block generation speed into the judgment of block generation conditions. In the implementation, after selecting the three mining machine nodes with the fewest draws as candidate block mining machines, the block generating speed of the three candidate mining machines is tested 2 seconds before the start of block generation. The final block-producing miner is determined according to the size of the draw and the superimposed block-producing speed. In this way, tests found that timeout is reduced by 50%.

Performance Optimizations: With the optimizations of the bottom architecture Chain33, performance has also been greatly improved. Under good network conditions, TPS can reach more than 10000, and in the test environment, TPS can reach over 1000.
